In time for Mother’s Day on May 11, the state Department of Health has added new services to the Tobacco Quit Line to provide pregnant women with more help when they’re ready to quit using tobacco.
The new tools include tailored quit materials and extra follow-up calls to help pregnant women increase their chances of quitting successfully and remaining tobacco-free after the baby is born.
If you are a member of the media and would like more information or would like to schedule an interview with a spokesperson at the Department of Health, please contact Tim Church at (360) 534-0068 (pager), (360) 236-4077 (office) or email at timothy.church@doh.wa.gov.
